Pamela Nesheim-Pilsner
Born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Pamela Pilsner attended the University of Minnesota majoring in accounting before embarking on a career in food service and hospitality, joining Tucci Benucch and Twin Cities Grill: Lettuce Entertain You in 1990 as a bookkeeper and working her way up to the positions of host and eventually office manager.
In 1995, Pilsner was named food and beverage manager of the University Club of St. Paul, Minnesota, a nationally affiliated private club, where she worked directly with the chef and general manager to achieve much of the culinary success the club enjoys today.
During the past several years, she has worked as a manager, first for Campiello in Eden Prairie, then D'Amico Cucina and then as general manager of Linguine & Bob within the D'Amico & Parnters organization, based in Minneapolis. When D'Amico decided to open one of its popular Campiello Restaurants in Naples, Florida, Pilsner was asked to transfer and open the restaurant. After three months she was promoted to general manager. She accepted the position and has since lived and worked in one of America's true paradises.
In 2001, after nearly 11 years in the restaurant industry, Pilsner joined the Naples Winter Wine Festival. She served as executive director of the Naples Children and Education Foundation whose main fundraiser, the Naples Winter Wine Festival, has raised over $11 million in just under three years. The event benefits local children's charities and has established itself as the second largest charity wine auction in the world.
Deeply involved in the community, she helped organize the Campiello Golf Invitational; and served as a board member of the Garden of Hope and Courage, a board member of Immokalee Child Care Center and volunteers as a "wish granter" to the Make-A-Wish of Naples.
Pilsner joined Agenzia in April of 2003 as a Vice President before leaving Naples in 2004 to return to the University of Minnesota. After her return to Minneapolis she was offered the position of General Manager of the Loring Pasta Bar & Varsity Theater in Dinkytown where she worked until closing a 16-year career in the restaurant and related industries to join in a business venture as co-owner of Details Event Designs, LLC. Together with Tess K. Ryan, Pilsner, now Nesheim-Pilsner, utilizes their many years of experience to create unique and fabulous events for individual clients & corporations. Details Event Designs specializes in wedding planning, corporate events to bar/bat mitzvahs. Currently, she hopes to create a legacy of great events that will one day become a national company.
Tess K. Ryan
Born in Duluth, Minnesota and raised between Osakis, Minnesota & Nashville, Tennessee, Tess K. Ryan attended the University of St. Thomas where she was highly motivated and graduated early to receive her B.A. in Business Communications. While at St. Thomas she also studied French and fell in love with the language, which took her abroad in 2005.
While in Europe she had the experience of a lifetime that took her to France, Ireland and Western Europe with a group of students that were studying management. While in Ireland she dined at Paddy Hayes' (former CEO of Waterford Crystal and Ford Motor Companies) home where she received simple advice: "Öthe secret of my successÖis whenever asked to do anything, I did it, but did it better than anyone else would have". These are words that have shaped Tess' philosophy on business and life. She extended her stay in Western Europe, traveling through Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam and many other fabulous destinations that connected her heart and philosophies to the global community.
Tess' love of color and design paired with her need to help others fostered her interest in a career in the hospitality industry. This passion was such a driving force that Ryan could not conceive a career that did not incorporate these aspects of her soul. Thus upon her return from Europe, T. Ryan accepted the position as the Wedding Coordinator for the Mid-America Festivals, i.e. the Renaissance Festival of Minnesota. There she assisted brides-to-be in all planning aspects of their wedding event, from handling catering to set-up and designing a unique and special occasion that fit each individual.
From Mid-America Festivals, T. Ryan was recruited and wooed to join the management team of the Loring Pasta Bar & Varsity Theater. There, Ryan not only preformed all daily management restaurant operations, but specialized in events. During her tenure at the Loring Pasta Bar & Varsity Theater, T. Ryan in conjunction with 2 other event specialists, booked over a half-million dollars in events.
T. Ryan's entrepreneurial vision set her sights further to join in a business venture as co-owner of Details Event Designs, LLC. Together with Pamela Nesheim-Pilsner, they utilize their many years of experience to create unique and fabulous events for individual clients & corporations. Details Event Designs specializes in wedding planning, corporate events to bar/bat mitzvahs. Currently, she hopes to plan each event with style and flairÖto the finest details.
